Celebrating the art of woodworking
Creating traditional wood furniture that’s meticulously handcrafted in Rhode Island using centuries-old techniques to ensure lasting quality.
Garnet Hill began working with Scott James Pacheco three decades ago when he was part of the Stephen Plaud, Inc., team. For more than 20 years, Scott worked alongside Stephen and his dad in Stephen’s Tiverton, Rhode Island workshop, learning the craft of making fine furniture and helping produce custom pieces for architects, interior designers, and homeowners.
In 2017, Scott officially took over the business and opened Scott James Furniture & Design in the same workshop, working with the same dedicated team of master craftsmen. This furniture is hand-built and hand-finished in Rhode Island using traditional techniques and hand-selected wood (usually from Maine) to create pieces to love now and for generations to come.
“One of the first things I did when I joined Garnet Hill was to visit Scott James. The team exceeded my expectations in their craftsmanship and thoughtfulness as well as in their absolute love for their products and their pride in their work. Seeing them in action and seeing their exquisite furniture really inspired me.”

Celebrating the form & function of metalworking
Creating classic yet modern wrought iron beds, made by hand in Southern California and inspired by antiques of the 19th century and Victorian era for enduring beauty.
Newfound Heritage was established in 2017 with a vision to handcraft iron beds that reflect a time when metalworking was a mark of prestige. Skilled artisans with decades of experience follow every step of a process that harkens back to a simpler time, when quality and craftsmanship were the expectation. They lovingly bend, shape, weld, cast, and paint each bedframe, carrying on a tradition that has been passed down through generations. Marked by intricate designs and romantic aesthetics, each wrought iron bed exudes vintage charm and timeless elegance and is sure to be a cherished heirloom.

Celebrating a timeless standard of excellence
Creating simple yet sophisticated Shaker-inspired furniture, carefully crafted in traditional Amish workshops using beautiful American hardwoods for timeless appeal.
In 1979, Kevin Kauffman and his brothers began learning the art of furniture construction from their father on their family farm. Kevin’s passion and expertise soon led him to partner with his uncle, John Mast, to start a company with a grand vision: to create practical, minimal furniture with a high level of craftsmanship through a network of traditional Amish workshops in and around central Illinois.
Amish craftsmanship reflects generations of skill and dedication, taking pride in using premium hardwoods, hardware, construction techniques, and joinery to build furniture that stands the test of time.
Did you know? The EPA estimates 9 million tons of furniture ends up in landfills every year. Invest in legacy pieces to embrace sustainability, honor craftsmanship, and enrich a home with the kind of beauty that’s appreciated across generations.
Celebrating the art & science of upholstered furniture
Creating bespoke upholstered pieces, made in Illinois using timeless techniques and cutting-edge technology to create fashionable comfort for generations.
Norman Wecker started Skyline Furniture in 1946, after learning the craft of upholstery from his father-in-law, who owned a furniture shop at the turn of the last century. Now a third-generation business run by Norm’s granddaughter, Meganne, Skyline Furniture understands a great business is built by great people, and they’ve spent decades honing skills, passing down knowledge and know-how, and investing in innovation.
With the help of an incredible team of craftspeople, Skyline effortlessly blends tradition, technology, and design to deliver bespoke, made-to-order upholstered pieces that last — and because many Skyline designs are slipcovered, they can be easily updated to reflect a change in style.
