Gather around the Christmas tree farm.
This year, Garnet Hill held our holiday photo shoot at a place very dear to us: The Rocks, a scenic Christmas tree farm and forest exploration center on 1,400 acres in Bethlehem, NH. The Rocks has been at the heart of the holidays for the Garnet Hill family for over three decades — it’s just a few miles from our corporate headquarters, and each year, we give team members a gift certificate for a Rocks tree or wreath, so most of us visit at least once during the season to get into the holiday spirit.
More than just a tree farm
The Rocks is owned by the Forest Society, a 123-year-old nonprofit that protects more than one million acres across New Hampshire. Garnet Hill partnered with the Forest Society in the 1990s, and our collaboration continues to build on a shared commitment to protecting the land as well as fostering deep roots in the local community with events like company volunteer days.
The Rocks is a storied place to forge lasting memories with our families, to gather with neighbors, and to make new friends from the North Country and beyond. Some team members have gotten married at The Rocks and many of us have planted trees and enjoy watching them grow and thrive.
“
The Rocks embodies the spirit of the season and has special meaning to all of us — it’s the perfect backdrop for a Garnet Hill Christmas! It was our team members who inspired the campaign’s very personal theme, and we recreated their photos, experiences, and traditions to share our holiday story with you.
We’re very excited to take you behind the scenes at The Rocks, and to share how team member pictures and traditions inspired our holiday photo shoot.

Riding with the horses is such a great way to experience the natural beauty of this place. With every clip-clop, clip-clop, I’m reminded of how very lucky we are to be here.
“
Our annual visit to The Rocks in search of the perfect tree sometimes includes a meeting with the Bernese Mountain dogs. These traditions kick off our family’s holiday season. Our kids have literally grown up here, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
“
My husband and I got married here. Now, walking through the woods with our daughter to find our tree is something I look forward to every year.

There’s something magical about heading off into the woods and returning with a tree. It makes it much more personal.
